About Pediatric Nursing Services

At Castor, we specialize in Pediatric Home Nursing, offering medically necessary, complex skilled nursing care for children in the comfort of your home. Our services are provided on a fee-for-service basis by highly qualified Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs).

We understand the unique challenges faced by families with medically fragile children who are technology-dependent or require in-home shift nursing. Through private insurance or state programs, your family may be eligible for support to ensure your child receives the care they need at home.

Castor is proud to be an approved and leading provider for The Division of Specialized Care for Children (DSCC). The DSCC program offers eligibility regardless of the family’s income level, ensuring that every child in need has access to quality care.

If you believe your child may qualify for the Home Care Program, our experienced Intake Nursing Coordinator is here to assist you. We’ll work closely with DSCC to ensure your loved one receives the right care tailored to their needs.

At Castor Home Nursing’s Pediatric division, our mission is to deliver the highest standard of home nursing care with compassion, respect, and a commitment to education. Our highly trained pediatric nurses provide a wide range of supportive care services in the comfort of your home or residence, available around the clock (24/7).

Our skilled nurses perform physical assessments, measure vital signs, collect blood and urine samples, follow care plans, and collaborate with physicians to order diagnostic tests. To ensure your child receives the best possible care, our on-call nurse is available after business hours and on weekends for consultation.

Our dedicated nurse scheduling team is here to offer you the flexibility you need, matching your loved one with the most suitable nurse while allowing you to rest when necessary. With over 30 years of experience serving children in the community, we are confident in our ability to provide high-quality care with complete transparency for families, state agencies, and insurance payors.

We utilize fully electronic charting, powered by state-of-the-art, nationally recognized software. Our nursing charts are reviewed daily/weekly by supervisors and undergo internal audits on a quarterly basis, ensuring that care quality is maintained and manual errors are minimized.
